legacy IT hardware

A legacy system is an outdated version of software/hardware that is still in use. Although the system is still in use, there is no scope for growth, since it does not allow interaction with older technology. Most companies are clueless about dealing with issues related to the legacy system, since it is difficult to find the right personnel to manage the data and maintaining the old system is an expensive affair. Maintaining this system outweighs the convenience of using an existing system.
