Virtu End of Year Event XV 2023

XV for 15 years so far and for many more years to come!

On the 17th November 2023, Virtu celebrated its 15th year anniversary with 15 key sponsors and over 150 clients and guests at our End of Year Event XV. In classic Virtu tradition, we welcomed all to a fantastic night of celebrations, networking, innovation and curiosity for what lies ahead in the rapidly evolving future of IT.

Our 15 sponsors included HP, Poly, Schneider Electric, Cisco, Ingram Micro, ZAGG, Lenovo, Comsol, STM, Veeam, Extreme Networks, Google, Dragonfly, Crowdstrike and Microsoft. These brands represented our 15 years of growth and successes that defined Virtu, as well as our strategic focus on paving the way for a more sustainable future!

Taronga Zoo was our choice of venue due to the iconic location’s well recognised efforts as a leader in environmental sustainability and climate change action which align with Virtu’s values and commitment to sustainability. Furthermore, Taronga has received global recognition for sustainability initiatives such as switching to 100% renewable electricity, removing single-use plastic from zoo cafes and developing a sustainability scorecard for evaluating potential corporate partners. Taronga has made tremendous focus in protecting wildlife found native to Australia as well as the rest of the world, assisting with breed and release programs, habitat recovery and rehabilitation and release of orphaned wildlife.

To provide further support alongside Taronga Zoo in protecting our native wildlife, Virtu was also on a mission to give back through XV. We organised a donation box which would provide guests with the opportunity to make a donation and and support Taronga’s Koala Conservation Work. Additionally, we prepared unique candle gifts for all attendees to take home. Every candle gift would help support the Australian Koala Foundation.

For a little bit of a wild experience, Virtu offered an exclusive outdoor guided tour throughout the zoo. Guests were able to view nocturnal species and Australian species famous at Taronga. Afterwards, everyone was guided to our main hall known as the N’Galawa Terrace to partake in our evening networking session. Surrounded by a spectacular view of the Sydney Harbour skyline, guests interacted with a ‘zookeeper checklist’ activity that challenged them to answer a range of out-of-the-box questions about the zoo, sponsors and Virtu! This experience was also coupled with a competitive team tournament which included a hands-on animal scavenger hunt, chopstick challenge, and a jenga block stacking challenge. Plus there were plenty of giveaways and prizes to crown our Lucky Draw Winner, Best Dressed and Best Dancer for the night!

Throughout the night, Virtu interviewed our clients to hear how they have experienced Virtu over the past few years and what future IT projects they expect collaboration and partnership on. Some key highlights of what Virtu meant to our clients included mentions of “awesome customer service”, “flexibility and simplicity”, “customer centric”, “proactive and good leadership, “diverse offerings”, as well as “favourite supplier”. Clients also considered Virtu to be on-brand with their organisation due to our sustainability focus.

The fantastic night was a night to remember our amazing journey so far with clients and partners, alongside our wonderful diverse team of Victors. Thank you again to the support of our 15 highly valued sponsors – HP, Poly, Schneider Electric, Cisco, Ingram Micro, ZAGG, Lenovo, Comsol, STM, Veeam, Extreme Networks, Google, Dragonfly, Crowdstrike and Microsoft, for making this memorable night possible.
